Armed protesters welcome Stanford rapist home in full force

Armed protesters were spotted standing outside the house of Brock Turner, the viral Stanford student rapist after he was released from jail, serving only three months of a six-month sentence.

Turner, 21, left a Santa Clara County jail on Friday and will now serve out the rest of his three years probation. He left California for his parents’ home in Ohio where he is required to register as a sex offender. The Independent UK reported.

Posted on Twitter, about a dozen protesters were seen waiting outside his parent's house. Some brandished long rifles and many held signs calling for castration of rapists and others questioned the American judicial system.

“He’s not going to live some happy pleasant life,” one protester told local media. “We’re going to never let him forget what he did.”

“He’s just not welcome,” local resident Molly Hardin told CBS News.

Turner, whose light sentence sparked a national uproar was convicted of the January 2015 sexual assault of an unconscious woman outside of a party on the Stanford campus. Two cyclists caught Turner in the act and tackled him as he attempted to flee.

Despite prosecutors’ recommendation that Turner spends six years in prison, Judge Aaron Persky sentenced him to only six months. Turner was released early on good behavior.

In March, Brock Turner pleaded guilty to three felony charges: Assault with intent to commit rape against an intoxicated/unconscious person, penetration of an intoxicated person, and penetration of an unconscious person.

Prosecutors recommended 6 years for Turner, but Judge Aaron Persky only sentenced him to six months, saying a lengthy jail sentence would have a “negative effect” on Turner. US Uncut reported.

After moving to his parents' house in Ohio, Turner was asked to register, as a sex offender, and must re-register every 90 days.

Postcards will be sent to residents within the area notifying them that a sex offender has moved into their community. Turner will also serve three years of probation.
