It's
been an emotional week for parents up and down the country this week as
they've waved their children off to school for the first time.
But one father took the whole thing even worse than most.

The little boy seems confident about his first day, and looks adorable in his school uniform.
He pulls at the latch to open the door, but his dad lies prostrate on the ground in despair.
The hilarious picture was posted by British Reddit user AidenAsh15.
He captioned the image 'My son's first day at school today. I handled it really well.'
And the comments were sympathetic.
