A new sneak peek for "The Walking Dead" season seven questions the fate of Daryl Dixon.
AMC earlier premiered the first "The Walking Dead" season seven trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con, introducing the character Ezekiel.
The 16th episode of "The Walking Dead‘s" sixth season, “Last Day on Earth,” aired on Sunday, April 3, 2016, and came with an unexpected cliffhanger.
Its season six finale episode which offered viewers their first look at Negan and his infamous Lucille, ended with Negan playing a game to decide who would be the first to meet Lucille.
As he made his decision, the camera angle switched to the position of his victim, leaving viewers to wonder who was on the receiving end as the scene faded out.
The season ended without revealing the identity of Negan's victim, leaving fans angry, shocked and disappointed.
Following the cliffhanger, angry fans started a change.org petition aimed at convincing AMC to reveal which of their favourite cast met his or her end.
"The Walking Dead" stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Lennie James as Morgan, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer.
While the show's ratings are not as high as they used to be, its season six finale was by far the most watched on cable, remaining the biggest show on TV for four consecutive years.
The show's seventh season will comprise of 16 episodes, and will air in two parts, with the first eight episodes premiering October 23, and the final eight returning February 2017.
