A British TV show, The Embarrassing Bodies, which sheds light on medical issues, especially those that are "embarrassing" or sexual recently had a very interesting topic of discussion.

One of the stars, Doctor Christian Jessen has revealed the most bizarre cleaning regime he has ever come across – admitting a group of girls used to swill fizzy drinks in their vaginas to keep them clean.

Jessen added that he had seen a lot of concept, but using Coke as a means to prevent STD was certainly a first.

Chatting on stage at the launch of condom range Lelo Hex, Christian explained: "I went to visit to a inner city school in London and one group of girls genuinely told me they didn't need to worry about sexual infections at all as after having sex they douche [their vaginas] with cola.

But before you go rushing out to your local corner shop you may want to sit down.

The star quickly added: "For the record, it absolutely don't work.

"All jokes aside, what I really do find the most shocking is the lack of knowledge that seems to be getting worse and worse.

"Some young people have never even heard of chlamydia or they tell me they can't get pregnant as they do it standing up – it's crazy," he said.
