The House of Representatives on Thursday, April 21, 2016, confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari has returned the 2016 budget details, which he faulted, to the National Assembly.
According to the spokesman for the House, Abdulrazak Namdas, who spoke to newsmen in Abuja, the President identified some "grey areas" in the document.
"I can confirm to you that we are in possession of the letter from the president identifying grey areas," he said.
Namdas
said that the leadership of the House of Representatives and the Senate
would meet to resolve the faulted areas in the budget, so as not to
further delay the signing.
Pulse recalls that Buhari had expressed his displeasure over the budget details
submitted to the Presidency by the National Assembly on April 7. He
especially frowned at the removal of funds meant for major national
projects.
