Nigeria’s U-23 coach robbed in US
Nigeria’s U-23 coach, Samson Siasia was last week robbed in the United States where he is currently in camp with his players.
Siasia and his Dream Team IV are camping in Atlanta ahead of the football event of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The Bayelsa-born coach told Pulse Sports that thieves broke into his car which was parked at the hotel’s parking lot.
“My car was car was burgled,” the coach told Pulse Sports on the phone.
“They took phones, some credit card and some money,” he added.
He however ensured that the unfortunate incident will not make him lose focus as he prepares his team for the Olympics.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group B alongside Group B Sweden, Colombia and Japan who they will first face on August 4.
Their second game is against Sweden on August 7 before facing Colombia three days later on August 10.
