Three things that prevent your breakthrough

Prayer Hands

A while ago, I was offered my own radio show by UK-based PowerXtra Radio Station. And my show – ‘The Fearless Storyteller Px Show’ – goes live every Sunday, 7-8pm GMT. It started a couple of weeks ago … and some hours before the launch, I received an SMS.
It said:
Congratulations on your radio show. May my god punish you, because I hate hearing good news about you.”
I started laughing: see, there's a reason I cannot take religious people seriously, I just can't. It's the reason that I do not believe that any human being can be Nigerian and Christian, without being at least slightly schizophrenic. And I'm not trying to be derogatory towards those struggling with schizophrenia.
But as we're on the subject, here are three reasons that your 'prayers' continue to go unanswered:

1. Your prayers are borne out of envy or hatred.

I'm not sure who or what you're praying to, when every supplication you make is along the lines of ‘I want what she has; therefore, I want it’ or ‘He upset me; may his children die.’
Throwing tantrums like a child that's keen to indicate that it was raised by wolves, wanting something only because someone else has it.
It doesn't matter how many services or crusades you attend, how many pastors and prophets lay hands (and legs) on you, or how many times you type “Amen” on laughable posts on social media; you'll just never get anything good that's sustainable.
Which brings me to the next point.

2. You are unstable.

This is self-explanatory. Or it should be. When has being envious of something that someone has, been the reason that the thing is taken from the person and bestowed on you?

3. You make yourself an easy target.

When your heart is evil and full enough for you to voice its contents, people like me just delight in torturing you.
For instance, with the sender of the SMS that I received, I have taken to sending her weekly updates – not just about my success, but about the success of others (she says she hates hearing about the success of other people).
It is a good investment of my airtime to send her good news of people that I don't even know that well, or at all. Seriously, truth can be stranger than fiction …
