'Jealous' Angelina Jolie refused to speak to Marion Cotillard on set and made up rumours she had an affair with her husband Brad Pitt, it has been claimed.

Angelina filed for divorce from Brad on Monday citing irreconcilable differences, in a move which shocked the showbiz world.

It has now been claimed the Angelina's ill feelings towards Marion were noticeable on the set of Brad's latest film, Allied.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Angelina completely ignored Marion on the set, and when Marion tried to talk to her she just looked away.

"Marion was devastated, here she is thinking she is going to meet this great UN ambassador and instead Angelina refuses to speak to the woman because of her own jealousy."

After news of Brad and Angelina's split broke on Monday wild claims emerged that Brad had grown close to French co-star Marion.

The report claims the rumours are "100 per cent false" and sources added Angelina may have "made up" the rumours.

The pair are also insisting there is no "third person" involved.

It comes amid reports Brad and Angelina, who have been together since 2004, were heading in "completely different" directions.

“Angelina has been very unhappy for some time — there was a constant string of arguments about their future,” a source told The Sun.

“She tried to make the marriage work time and time again for the sake of the children, but they were in turmoil and it became too hard to see a way out. Their lives are heading in completely different directions.”

They added: “Angelina wants to be seen as a humanitarian while Brad continues to live the Hollywood lifestyle and is in the midst of some sort of midlife crisis. She ended up telling him earlier this month, ‘I can’t do this any more’.”

Brad was said to be “devastated” by her decision to end their marriage after 12 years together.

They share children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight.

An insider said: "She still says Brad is the love of her life, and the decision has weighed heavy on her heart. Her priority now is the children.
