Paul Pogba will be absent from Manchester United’s travelling party for the trip to Bournemouth, manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed.
The midfielder signed for United in a record-breaking £89m deal this week, penning a £300,000-per-week contract.
However, his second debut for the Red Devils has been delayed due to a suspension which has carried over from his time in Italy.
Last season, he received two yellow cards during Juventus’ run to Coppa Italia success, which warranted a one-match ban.

As such, Pogba is unable to feature in United’s Premier League season opener on Sunday, and will instead be available for Friday’s hosting of Southampton.
New manager Mourinho has confirmed that he will not take the No.6 to the south coast, as Pogba will work on his fitness at Carrington.

The Portuguese coach said, as reported by the Sunday People: “He will not be with us at Bournemouth. He trains on Saturday and then again Sunday to be ready.”
Pogba arrives at United having won four successive Serie A titles, while also helping Juventus reach the 2014/15 Champions League final.
